This specimen was lot 23563 in Heritage sale 3030 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $3,055. The catalog description[1] noted, "Louis Philippe I 5 Francs 1831-T, Nantes mint, KM 735.12, MS65 NGC. Streaky aged silver and pinkish gray patina sits atop evidently lustrous, minimally marked surfaces. The finest example of the date graded by NGC and quite desirable as a Gem."
