This specimen was lot 369 in Classical Numismatic Group's sale of the Lissner Collection (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $1,936. The catalog description[1] noted, "FRANCE, Royal (Restored). Louis XVIII. 1814-1824. AR 5 Francs (37 mm, 24.98 g, 6h). Premier Restauration (First restoration) issue. Perpignan mint; différent: bunch of grapes. Pierre-Joseph Tiolier, engraver general. J. de Sainte-Croix, director. Dated 1815 Q. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 63. Extremely nice light violet patina but we will call it brilliant uncirculated. Only example ever graded. Purchased from Danny Messer, February 1972."
