This specimen was lot 1776 in Jean Elsen sale 117 (Brussels, June 2013), where it sold for €180 (about US$284 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"FRANCE, Royaume, Louis XVI (1774-1793), AR demi-écu aux rameaux d'olivier, 1790 AA, Metz. Droit: B. habillé à gauche, les cheveux noués par un ruban. Revers: Ecu de France couronné, entre deux rameaux d'olivier. Dupl., 1709; Ci., 2189; Gad-355. Rare. Très Beau. (kingdom of France, Louis XVI (1774-93), silver half ecu of the olive brance of 1790, Metz mint. Obverse: uniformed bust to left, hear tied in a ribbon; reverse: crowned arms of France between two olive branches. Rare, very fine.)"
