"FRANCE, Royaume, Louis XV (1715-1774), AR écu à la vieille tête, 1772 L, Bayonne. Droit: Tête l. à gauche. Revers: Ecu de France couronné, entre deux rameaux d'olivier. Dupl., 1685; Ci., 2129; Gad-323. 29,25 g. Petit défaut de flan au droit. Rare dans cette qualité. Superbe. (kingdom of France, Louis XV (1715-74), silver écu of the old head of 1772, Bayonne mint. Obverse: laureate head to left; reverse: crowned arms of France between two olive branches. Minor planchet defect on obverse, rare in this quality, extremely fine)"
