This specimen was lot 276 in Classical Numismatic Group's sale of the Lissner Collection (Chicago, July 2014), where it sold for $__. The catalog description[1] noted, "FRANCE, Royal. Louis XV le Bien-Aimé (the Well-Beloved). 1715–1774. CU Sol à la vieille tête (29mm, 11.42 g, 6h). Paris mint; différents: heron/cross fleury. Charles-Norbert Röettiers, engraver. Jean Dupeyron I, director. Dated 1768 A. Duplessy 1699; Ciani 2147; KM 545.1. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 65 BN. Superb deep reddish brown with with a hint of red luster. A really great type coin and only one of this date encapsulated. Purchased from Paul Davis."
