This specimen was lot 24037 in Heritage sale 3030 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $1,880. The catalog description[1] noted, "Edward III (1327-77) gold Quarter Noble ND, S-1501, North-1224, Schneider-72, Treaty Period, Transitional Series of 1361-63, No French title, Cross Potent, pellets in cusps of obverse tressure consisting of eight arches, at center of reverse the form of a small cross potent with four annulets in angles and a large central pellet, MS64 NGC, a beautiful example which is actually sharper on reverse than the Schneider plate coin, lustrous, struck on a full broad flan, obverse legend clear but reverse legend super bold in all details. This is a wonderful quarter-noble!"
