This specimen was lot 20568 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Anaheim, CA, August 2016), where it sold for $1,880. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Groat, ND (1560-61). Elizabeth I (1558-1603). PCGS EF-45 Secure Holder. S-2601; N-2032. RARE. Small faced bust with ornate dress, star mintmarks. A testament to the superiority of this early milled coinage over its hand struck counterparts. Perfectly clear legends and minute detail in the bust and dress with the queen's determined visage fully defined. Deeply toned peripheries which gets lighter towards the center. A very desirable example."
