This specimen was lot 20056 in Ponterio sale 176 (Chicago, August 2013), where it sold for $3,672. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Henry VIII, 1509-1547. Half Angel, ND (1513-26). Portcullis Crowned with Chains. S-2266; North-1761; Fr-156. 38.9 grains. St. Michael spearing dragon. Legend HENRC VIII. Rv. Ship with shield at center. A First Coinage Half Angel accompanied by its Seaby purchase tag. Well-made overall, though some minor softness is noted on some of the high points. A lovely type coin. Very Fine Plus. Ex: Seaby, 1982."
