This specimen was lot 30658 in Heritage sale 3049 (Long Beach, September 2016), where it sold for $3,525. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic silver 1/8 Peso 1850-JB MS64 NGC, San Jose mint. KM 102. A meritorious example of this scarce, one-year issue that is seldom available at any level. The emblematic tree design experiences the usual strike-flatness while the planchet shows obvious die-clash marks on both sides. At present time, this lustrous and handsomely-toned offering is the finest and only certified specimen of the type at NGC. Rare as such. Ex. Lissner Collection."
