This specimen was lot 42421 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $1,020. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 1844-RS 8 Reales. Bogotá mint. Restrepo 194.10. EF Detail — Tooled (PCGS). Rainbow iridescence covers deep golden gray and tobacco brown surfaces. The reverse is flecked with tiny planchet voids and a series of scratches is noted at the right extremity of the obverse scroll. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins. Ex. Christie's (Dallas) sale of the Norweb Collection, November 1985, lot 738. Earlier, from the Virgil Brand Collection."
