This specimen was lot 40237 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $552. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 1797/6-JJ 2 Escudos. Santa Fe de Nuevo Reino (Bogotá) mint. Carlos IV (1788-1808). Restrepo 89.14. UNC Detail — Cleaned (PCGS). Frosty and lustrous with a hint of pale violet toning around the obverse periphery, but showing just a few too many obverse hairlines. Very well struck, with a bold portrait and good detail on both sides. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins. Acquired March 1971."
