This specimen was lot 40222 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $384. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 1791-SF 2 Escudos. Popayán mint. Carlos IV (1788-1808). Restrepo 88.6. AU-50 (PCGS). Lustrous and frosty rich yellow gold with some orange highlights. The obverse design elements show some strike doubling, including legends and the portrait. A subtle adjustment mark is seen within the shield, but no major flaws. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins. Ex. Spink America's sale of the Norweb Collection, March 1997, lot 389."
