This specimen was lot 40122 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $3,840. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 1759-J 2 Escudos. Popayán mint. Ferdinand VI (1746-1759). Restrepo 18.8. AU-58 (PCGS). Sparking with frosty luster across choice light yellow gold surfaces. Perfectly centered and well struck, with hints of pale orange on both sides. An especially choice, high grade piece. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins. Ex. Spink America's sale of the Norweb Collection, March 1997, lot 294 (part)."
Nuevo Reino (KM 30.1, Fr-19) struck 1756-60 and Popayan (KM 30.2, Fr-20) struck 1758-60.
