This specimen was lot 40110 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $384. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 1818-FM Escudo. Popayán mint. Ferdinand VII (1808-1833). Restrepo 123.27. EF-45 (PCGS). Listed in Restrepo as one of the more elusive dates in this series. Rich orange toning and hints of luster grace both sides. Perfectly centered, mostly well struck, and choice in appearance. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins. Ex. Don Canaparo, March 1981"
Nuevo Reino (Fr-65, KM 64.1) struck 1808-20 and Popayán (Fr-66, KM 64.2, KM 64.3) struck 1808-19.
