This specimen was lot 40065 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $600. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 1798-JF Escudo. Popayán mint. Carlos IV (1788-1808). Restrepo 85.14. MS-61 (PCGS). A beautiful example at this grade level, with complete frost, brilliant luster, and choice deep yellow gold surfaces. A die clash is visible on the reverse, and a die crack crosses the bust to ND of IND on the obverse. An attractive, well-preserved example. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins. Ex. Glendining's sale of November 1971, lot 483."
