This specimen was lot 12213 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it sold for $780. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 1859 10 Pesos. Bogotá mint. Restrepo M234.1. AU-50 (PCGS). Even medium yellow gold with some luster and good eye appeal. Very elusive, the first issue of this design type from Bogotá. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian and Ecuadorian Coins. From Coen-Messer, October 1970."
KM 129.1, Fr-88, 16.13 g, .900 fine gold, struck at Bogota 1859-61. m. 3,481. also Popayan (KM 129.2) 1858-62.
