This specimen was lot 24365 in Heritage sale 3032 (Chicago, April 2014), where it sold for $2,820. The catalog description[1] noted, "Ferdinand VI gold 4 Escudos 1750/5 So-J, Santiago Mint, KM 2, MS61 NGC. Fully mint state with a few contact marks mostly apparent on the bust side, the shield side being weakly struck as is nearly always the case. Some reddish spots on the bust do not detract from an attractive specimen. This overdate has been also described as 1750/3 (see CT-134) but the present attribution would seem to be the correct one. From the Luz shipwreck."
