This specimen was lot 29460 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $10,200. The catalog description[1] noted, "Lower Canada. Bank of Montreal/Banque Du Peuple. "Side View" Penny Token 1839 AU53 Brown NGC, Br-525, LC-11C, Courteau-39, 19.02 gm. Coinage alignment, BANQUE DU PEUPLE on ribbon. Slight scrape on obverse. Ex. John McKay-Clements collection (Frank Rose, May 1976, lot 51). From the Doug Robins Collection of Canadian Tokens."
