This specimen was lot 23271 in Heritage sale 3030 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $16,450. The catalog description[1] noted, "George V Specimen Dollar 1936, KM 31, Specimen 67 PCGS, aged gray and gold patina over pristine surfaces, a remarkable example of this rare Specimen Dollar. PCGS: 5 in this grade with none higher. A classic rarity in the Canadian Silver Dollar series. From The MacLeod Collection of Canada Specimen, Proof, and Prooflike Dollars."
