This specimen was lot 666 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabruck, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €550 (about US$741 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRAUNSCHWEIG UND LÜNEBURG, BRAUNSCHWEIG-WOLFENBÜTTEL, HERZOGTUM Ernst August, 1679-1698, seit 1662 Bischof von Osnabrück. Reichstaler 1688, Clausthal. Ausbeute der Grube St. Andreas. Dav-6621; Müseler 10.4.3/26; Welter 1946. Feine Patina, winz. Zainende, fast vorzüglich. (duchies of Brunswick-Luneburg and Brunswick Wolfenbuttel, Ernest Augustus, 1679-98, since 1662 bishop of Osnabruck, thaler of 1688, Clausthal mint, for the St. Andrew mine. Fine patina, minor clip, about extremely fine.)"
