This specimen was lot 635 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabruck, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €7,000 (about US$9,435 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRAUNSCHWEIG UND LÜNEBURG, BRAUNSCHWEIG-WOLFENBÜTTEL, HERZOGTUM Georg Wilhelm, 1665-1705. Reichstaler 1665, vermutlich Kassel, auf den Tod Katharina Sophias, Tochter Otto des Jüngeren und Schwester Wilhelms von Harburg, am 16. September. 28,59 g. Gekröntes, 12feldiges Wappen//Acht Zeilen Schrift, darüber umher ebenfalls Schrift. Welter 748; Dav-6414. Von allergrößter Seltenheit. Feine Patina, kl. Schrötlingsriß, vorzüglich. Exemplar der Auktion Westfälische Auktionsgesellschaft 49, Dortmund 2009, Nr. 765. Katharina Sophia, *1577, Ó1665, der letzte Sproß des Harburger Hauses, war die jüngste Tochter Herzogs Otto des Jüngeren von Harburg und dessen Gemahlin Hedwig, Tochter des Grafen Enno II. von Ostfriesland. Vermählt im Jahre 1609 mit Graf Hermann zu Holstein und Schaumburg. (duchies of Brunswick-Luneburg and Brunswick Wolfenbuttel, George William, 1665-1705, thaler of 1665, probably minted in Kassel on the death of Katharina Sophia. Obverse: crowned twelve-fold arms; reverse: eight line inscription, additional inscription around. Very rare, fine patina, small planchet cracks, extremely fine. Katharina Sophia (1577-1665), the last of the Harburg House, was the youngest daughter of Duke Otto the Younger of Harburg and his wife Hedwig, daughter of Count Enno II of East Friesland. Married in 1609 to Count Hermann of Holstein and Schaumburg.)"
