This specimen was lot 23890 in Heritage sale 3026 (Long Beach, October 2013), where it sold for $1,410. The catalog description[1] noted, "Maria I gold 6400 Reis 1788/7-B, KM 218.2, Russo-505, Gomes-28.04, Uncirculated Details - Surface Hairlines NGC. The bottom loop of the last 8 in the date is doubled, but the crossbar of a 7 is also seen running in and out of the upper loop. A curious example that is not attributed as an overdate on the NGC holder. From The RLM Collection, Part II."
