This specimen was lot 43994 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2019), where it sold for $1,440. The catalog description[1] noted, "SPANISH NETHERLANDS. Brabant. Ducaton, 1639. Antwerp Mint. Philip IV (1621-65). NGC MS-61. Dav-4454; KM-72.1. Free of highpoint wear with a few as-made planchet fissures in the centers, a gray base of tone on both sides and vibrant violet, pink and yellow iridescence on both sides that breathes impressive life into the surfaces when the viewed at an angle. From the Collection of Dr. James Eustace Bizzell, II."
