This specimen was lot 548 in Jean Elsen list 269 (Brussels, July-August 2014), where it was offered for €600 (about US$816). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRABANT, Duché, Charles Quint (1506-1555), AV écu d'or au soleil, 1547, Anvers. Droit: Ecu couronné d'Autriche-Bourgogne, accosté de deux briquets. Revers: Croix fleurdelisée, cantonnée de deux aigles et de deux tours. Ex HSA 8507. Rare. Légère faiblesse de frappe. Très Beau (duchy of Brabant, Charles V (1506-55), gold écu d'or of the sun of 1547. Antwerp mint. Obverse: crowned arms of Austria-Burgungy divide two jewels; reverse: floriate cross, tow eagles and two towers in fields. Rare, slightly weak strike, very fine.)"
