This specimen was lot 1207 in Classical Numismatic Group's sale of the Lissner Collection (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $1,573. The catalog description[1] noted, "BOLIVIA, Republic. 1825-present. AV 1/2 Escudo. Potosí mint. Manuel Berrios and Joaquin Zemborain, assayers. Dated 1855 PTS MJ. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 64. Superb UNC with beautiful deep orange peel patina. The only coin of this date ever graded. Purchased from Davis H. Carr, December 1971."
KM 36; Friedberg 36; Y 12. 1.7 g, .875 fine gold, this specimen 14 mm, 1.70 g, 6h axis. type of 1852-57 with five assayers for 1855. SCWC lists this as "NJ" but "MJ/FJ" probably more correct.
