This specimen was lot 30396 in Heritage sale 3049 (Long Beach, September 2016), where it sold for $2,408.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic gold Proof 5 Sertums 1966 PR67 Cameo PCGS, KM 35. An essentially flawless example of this one-year issue that commemorates the 40th anniversary of the accession of Jigme Wangchuk, presenting orange-peel coloration, satin-textured design features, and deeply-reflective mirrors that host a light layer of tone surrounding the outer registers. Scarcely-offered in the marketplace, and with a mintage of just 598 pieces struck in Proof, very pleasing in this jewel-like quality."
