This specimen was lot 2127 in Sincona sale 33 (Zurich, October 2016), where it sold for 1,600 CHF (about US$1,899 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Maximilian III. Joseph, 1745-1777 Konventionstaler 1766. Äusserst seltene Erhaltung. FDC. Kabinettstück. (electorate of Bavaria, Maximilian III Joseph, 1745-77, convention thaler of 1766. Extremely rare condition, Uncirculated, Cabinet piece. NGC MS65.)"
KM-519.1, Dav-1953. Hahn 307. 28.06 g, .833 fine. type struck at Munich and Amberg 1760-77 and very common.
