This specimen was lot 23977 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $4,112.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Karl Theodor Vicariat Taler 1790 CD, KM593, Dav-1969, MS65 NGC. A stunning early taler, with nicely reflective fields, bold strike and light reverse adjustment marks. A bit of golden toning adds to the appeal of this Gem one-year issue. Included is a European numismatic envelope, handwritten in ink for this piece, from the 1800's."
