This specimen was lot 30841 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $2,880. The catalog description[1] noted, "Bamberg. Philipp Valentin Albrecht Voit von Rieneck Taler 1657 AU50 NGC, Nurnberg mint, KM 45, Dav-5055. Fully original, still-lustrous surfaces are aglow in warm golden color, while the reverse has the addition of a crescent of teal that wraps itself around the lower register. The eye is easily satiated by the combination of exceptional detailing with picturesque designs, all the while the open fields are essentially void of any mentionable markings. Perhaps certified a bit on the conservative side, as we note that the reverse has seemingly fared better than its counterpart; however, the obverse remains quite striking when viewed in hand. An ideal representative of this one-year type, and in a level of preservation that immediately warrants collector attention."
