This specimen was lot 589 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €3,000 (about US$3,875 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BADEN-DURLACH, MARKGRAFSCHAFT Karl Friedrich unter Vormundschaft von Magdalena Wilhelmine und Karl August von Baden, 1738-1745. Konv.-Taler 1779, Durlach. Mit Signatur S (Ernst Christoph Steinhäußer, Hofgoldschmied und Wardein der Durlacher Münze seit 1761) auf der Rückseite. Dav-1935; Wielandt 718. Sehr selten in dieser Erhaltung. Prachtexemplar. Feine Patina, fast Stempelglanz. (Margraviate of Baden-Durlach, Charles Frederick under the joint rule of Magdalena Wilhelmina and Charles August, 1738-45, convention thaler of 1779, Durlach mint. Very rare is this quality. Proof example, fine toning, choice uncirculated.)"
