This specimen was lot 31382 in Heritage sale 3073 (Chicago, April 2019), where it sold for $1,680. The catalog description[1] noted, "Awadh. Wajid Ali Shah gold Ashrafi AH 1272 Year 9 (1855) MS62 PCGS, Lucknow mint, KM 378.3, Fr-1023. Highly textured fields lend a unique and almost matte appearance to this scarce gold offering. At the present this coin remains the only example seen by NGC."
struck AH 1269, AH 1272 only. 23-24 mm diameter, 10.7-11.4 g.
