This specimen was lot 747 in Jean Elsen sale 122 (Brussels, September 2014), where it sold for €340 (about US$521 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SAINT EMPIRE, Ferdinand Ier (1521-1564), AR Taler, 1554, Kuttenberg. Droit: B. cour. et cuirassé à droite, tenant un sceptre sur l'épaule et un globe crucigère. La date dans le champ. Revers: Aigle éployée, tête à gauche, portant l'écu écartelé de Bohême-Hongrie. Nettoyé. presque Très Beau. (Holy Roman Empire, Ferdinand I (1521-64), silver thaler of 1554, Kuttenberg mint. Obverse: crowned and armored bust to right, bearing a sceptre and globus cruciger, date in field; reverse: eagle displayed, head to left, bearing the quartered arms of Bohemia-Hungary. Cleaned, about very fine.)"
