This specimen was lot 30367 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $1,020. The catalog description[1] noted, "Victoria gold 1/2 Sovereign 1866-SYDNEY AU50 PCGS, Sydney mint, KM 3, Fr-10a. Difficult to encounter in higher grades, this fairly elusive piece, the final date for its particular series, exhibits some light, even wear while still retaining a fair amount of luster."
