This specimen was lot 2267 in Goldberg sale 103 (Los Angeles, February 2018), where it sold for $2,056.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "Alderney. 2 Pounds, 1992. KM-3b. Weight 1.40 ounces. For the 40th Anniversary- Reign of Queen Elizabeth II. Only 150 pieces struck. Rare. NGC graded Proof 68 Ultra Cameo."
KM 3 (copper-nickel, 28.28 g, 38.5 mm diameter), KM 3a (silver, .925 fine, 28.28 g, m. 5,000), KM 3b (gold, .917 fine, 47.54 g, m. 150). All Alderney coins are NCLT's.
