This specimen was the second smallest denomination issued by Vietnam. It is attributed to South Vietnam in the SCWC but it was issued the year before the country was officially partitioned after the French defeat at Điện Biên Phủ. On the obverse, it features women hailing from the three different regions (South, Central (Hue), and North) of Vietnam. The privy marks indicate its origin at the Paris mint.

Recorded mintage: 15,000,000.

Catalog reference: KM 2.
