This specimen was lot 29514 in Heritage sale 3035 (Long Beach, September 2014), where it sold for $1,292.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Leo III the Isaurian (AD 717-741), with Constantine V (AD 720-775). AV solidus (20 mm, 4.49 g, 6h axis). Constantinople, AD 720-725. ? N D LЄO-N PA MЧL ', crowned facing bust of Leo, wearing chlamys pinned at right shoulder, holding globus cruciger in right hand and akakia in left / ?
