This specimen was lot 6219 in Künker sale 386 (Osnabrück, March 2023), where it sold for €750 (about US$969 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"REICHSSILBERMÜNZEN, BAYERN, Ludwig II. 1864-1886. 2 Mark 1876. In US-Plastikholder der PCGS mit der Bewertung MS 65 (39354461). Prachtexemplar. Hübsche Patina, fast Stempelglanz. (kingdom of Bavaria, Louis II, 1864-86, two mark of 1876. Outstanding example, handsome patina, about uncirculated, graded PCGS MS-65.)"
This type was struck 1876-77, 1880 and 1883 and this is the most common date of a better type.
