This specimen was lot 2317 in Stephen Album sale 43 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2022), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "WEST FRIESLAND: United Netherlands, AR silver ducat, 1662, reverse rotated 90 degrees, some luster, VF-EF." Silver ducats were struck in most of the provinces that today make up the Netherlands. The basic type runs 1659-1794. This subtype was struck 1659-75 and 1687 along with lion daalders (Dav-4870), rijksdaalder (Dav-4842), ducatons (Dav-4941) and three gulden (Dav-4961).
