This specimen was lot 24104 in Heritage sale 3026 (Long Beach, October 2013), where it sold for $1,292.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Victoria 25 Cents 1891, AU58 NGC, nicely toned with full mint brilliance, an attractive and original example of this low mintage date." The type was struck in 1858 and 1870-1901. This date is rather scarce, verging on rare.

Recorded mintage: 120,000.

Specification: 5.81 g, 0.925 fine silver, .173 troy oz ASW, reeded edge.

Catalog reference: KM 5.
