This specimen was lot 78460 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "SPANISH NETHERLANDS. Brabant. Daalder (Ecu), 1577. Antwerp Mint. Philip II. PCGS Genuine--Scratch, VF Details. From the Richard August Collection." This type was struck 1572-82 and 1585 at Antwerp and Maastricht. The year 1577 is when the States Revolt erupted, the only time the southern provinces joined the northern Protestants in rebelling against Spanish rule.
