This specimen was lot 33849 in Heritage sale 3114 (New York, January 2024), where it sold for $1,920. The lot description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Netherlands]]: [[Netherlands, Zeeland|Zeeland]]. Provincial Piefort 6 Stuivers 1761 MS64 NGC. Seldom encountered in this double weight and at a near-Gem designation, this being the single-finest example at NGC and likely one of the finest extant. Scintillating surfaces bear a tinge of baby blue and lemon toning, sparking with semi-Prooflike flash around the iconic Scheepjesschelling design." The six stuivers or ''scheepjesschelling'' struck for circulation (KM 90.1) was 4.95 g, 0.583 fine silver. It was made 1750, 1753-55 but not in 1761. The denomination was struck in piedfort format for presentation 1750, 1753-54 and 1758-61 and, being carefully saved, usually comes nice. These presentation pieces must have been quite popular as all the provinces made them, altho gold was the usual material.
