This specimen was lot 78269 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $360. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Netherlands|NETHERLANDS]]. [[Netherlands, Utrecht|Utrecht]]. Lion Dollar (Daalder), 1660. Utrecht Mint; mintmark: Rosette. PCGS EF-45. From the Richard August Collection." "Lion" daalders were struck in Utrecht and other Dutch provinces until 1697 but are seldom seen in collectible condition. Simultaneous with the Lion daalder (48 stuivers) was the "prince" daalder (40 stuivers), the silver ducat (also 48 stuivers), the three gulden (60 stuivers) and the ducaton (silver rider). The catalog does not explain why so many different large silver coins were felt to be necessary. [[Utrecht 1654 1/2 daalder|Half ''leeuwendaalders'']] also exist.<br />
