This specimen was lot 21271 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2019), where it did not sell. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "ITALY. [[Italy, Tuscany|Tuscany]]. Piastre, 1638. Ferdinand II. PCGS Genuine--Edge Repair, EF Details Gold Shield. A RARE issue, the present example moderately circulated but boldly struck. The edge repair is not visible in the slab, so we must assume a mount removal, although it does not seem to have stained the visible surfaces of the coin, which are toned in a medium argent-gold hue." It was offered again as lot 23096 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $552. This type was struck 1633-35, 1638, 1641 and is expensive. The very similar [[Tuscany 1645 piastra Dav-4202|Dav-4202]] has the date on the obverse and reverse.
