The first specimen was lot 33343 in Heritage sale 3073 (Chicago, April 2019), where it sold for $480. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "Ottoman Empire. Suleyman I (AH 926-974/AD 1520-1566) akçe AH 926 (AD 1520) AU53 NGC, Mardin mint (in Turkey), Carefully manufactured on a mildly oblong flan, permitting both the horizontal length of the obverse, and vertical length of the reverse calligraphy to be captured more fully, the fields bright with mint luster and the whole of the piece free of serious imperfections. On the whole superior quality for a very rare mint of Suleyman." The second specimen was lot 33342 in Heritage sale 3073 (Chicago, April 2019), where it sold for $180. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "Ottoman Empire. Suleyman I (AH 926-974/AD 1520-1566) akçe AH 926 (AD 1520) AU (flatly struck), Harput mint (in Turkey). Markedly well-centered on an exceptionally round flan, the reverse evincing noteworthy sharpness and radiance, die polish and flow lines still quite clear in the protected regions of the design." The third specimen was lot 33340 in Heritage sale 3073 (Chicago, April 2019), where it sold for $480. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "Ottoman Empire. Suleyman I (AH 926-974/AD 1520-1566) akçe AH 926 (AD 1520) AU55 NGC, Ardanuc mint (in Turkey). Fully expressive with only the lightest hints of corrosion on the highpoints, both the mint and date rendered clearly and completely, and circulation rub kept light and even." <br />
