This specimen was lot 42148 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $144. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[India|INDIA]]. Danish India. Tranquebar. Royalin, 1773. Christian VII. PCGS EF-40." The SCWC notes that the royalin was worth eighty cash or one-eighth of a rupee. This type was struck steadily 1767-99. The Danish sold out to the British in 1845.
