This specimen was lot 4287 in Künker sale 406 (Osnabruck, March 2024), where it sold for €1,700 (about US$2,231 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''DEUTSCHER ORDEN IN MERGENTHEIM, Carl Alexander von Lothringen, 1761-1780. Konv.-Taler 1776, Wertheim. Geharnischtes Brustbild r. mit umgelegtem Mantel, und Band mit Hochmeisterkreuz, am Armabschnitt die Signatur AD (Stempelschneider Anton Matthias Domanöck)//Gekröntes, vierfeldiges Wappen mit aufgelegtem Hochmeisterkreuz und Mittelschild Lothringen, zu den Seiten je ein gekrönter Adler mit Lothringerkreuz am Halsband, im Abschnitt X · EINE F · MARCK · / Münzstättenzeichen W in Verzierung, zu den Seiten die geteilte Signatur W · - E · (Münzwardein Christian Franz Weber und Münzmeister Johann Christoph Eberhard). Feine Tönung, kl. Zainende, winz. Schrötlingsfehler am Rand, vorzüglich.''
