This specimen was lot 6231 in Goldberg sale 72 (Los Angeles, February 2013), where it sold for $506. The catalog description<sup>[2]</sup> noted, "[[Switzerland]]. 5 Francs, 1865. For the Federal Shooting Festival at Schaffhausen. NGC graded MS-64." This is the sixth in a series of "shooting festival thalers" issued by the confederation of Switzerland, starting with Solothurn (Dav-377, 1855), Bern (Dav-378, 1857), Zurich ([[Switzerland 1859 5 francs|Dav-379]], 1859), Nidwalden (Dav-380, 1861) and La Chaux-de-Fonds ([[Switzerland 1863 5 francs|Dav-381]], 1863). The series continues to the present day but at some point they ceased to be legal tender and became strictly medals.
