This specimen was lot 11068 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Copenhagen, June 2026), where it sold for €671 (about US$774). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Sweden|SWEDEN]]. Stralsund. 2/3 Taler (Gulden), 1681-HIH. Stralsund Mint. Karl XI. NGC EF-40. Pleasant and overall well preserved example with traces of luster beneath the toning on the reverse (cross side). From the L.E. Bruun Collection." For this year, the SCWC notes KM 166 (Greek cross, struck 1681 and 1683) or KM 167 (Maltese cross, also struck 1681 and 1683). The initials HIH stand for Heinrich Johann Hille. Sweden seized the port of Stralsund in [[German States, Pomerania|Pomerania]] in 1628 and held it until 1809, when it was captured by French troops. Altho Stralsund was autonomous, it was not an imperial free city, and so the Swedish kings permitted it to issue only low value local coinage. The crowned arrow is the badge of the town. At the Congress of Vienna in 1815, the town was ceded to Prussia along with the remnant of Swedish Pomerania.
