This specimen was lot 1084 in Aureo sale 291 (Barcelona, April 2017), where it sold for €35 (about US$45 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''1719. Felipe V. València. 4 maravedís. MBC.'' ([[Spain]], Philip V, four maravedis of 1719, Valencia mint, very fine.)"</blockquote> This type was struck at Valencia 1718-20, Zaragoza 1718-20, Barcelona 1718-20 and Segovia 1719. The denomination does not seem to have been a success as no more were struck until 1741. The mintmark, to the left of the shield on the obverse, appears to be a bat-like device rather than a "V".<br />
