This specimen was lot 1676 in Sedwick Auction 36 (Winter Park, FL, November 2024), where it sold for $. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Spain|SPAIN]], Seville, gold cob 2 escudos, 1619 G. Crude VF yet with first three digits of date clear plus bottom tail of the 9, visible S-G and scarce as such, partial shield and cross." This type was struck 1601-21 at Seville with assayer G mentioned for 1616-21. This issue is mentioned twice in the SCWC, under KM 20 and KM 48.3. We beieve KM 20 is intended for the date to the left of the cross and KM 48.3 for the date on top. As most examples don't have legible dates, we aren't sure how they can be attributed.
